the time of the year has arrived again. the day where academics is left behind, and the show of might comes to light. darn, that sounds really cheesy. haha. but yea, i have to wake up at an unearthly time of 545am, as we had to reach school by 7am. usually, at 7am, i would still be at the busstop waiting for my bus to arrive. We, as guys, have to treat this fitness test very seriously, as 1 month of freedom is at stake. imagine having to enter camp right after A levels. sick. with 1 month, we'll be able to do lots and lots of stuffs, and also, i'd be able to go overseas with my family! yay. my parents said we will probably visit the land of sushi this year! as a matter of fact, we were supposed to visit japan last yr, but due to my dad's reluctance, the trip has to be postponed. hopefully, this year will be the year where our dreams will come true =)

back to the topic, napfa test. well, i was definitely aiming for a gold. nearly had a close shave of losing that gold award due to standing broad jump - again. 232cm was all i need, and i kept jumping 230cm. finally, with my third try, i did it! 235cm. the rest of the items were really smooth sailing. 10 pullups was a slight disappointment, as i could have gotten A with 11. my arms failed me today.. oh, and 2.4km, couldnt beat my best timing, and could only come in with 10.43min. ah. with that timing, i only got a B. sigh. on the other hand, i should be glad that i managed to get a sub-10min timing.

all in all, a GOLD for napfa is good enough! hehe. to all who are still trying to pass napfa, good luck! train well man, 1 month of extra BMT, really really sucks. jiayou =)

lastly, GENERAL ELECTIONS! wow. i initially thought i wouldnt careless about politics. but with the strong opposition party aiming to overthrow the incumbent ruling party, PAP, i could only sit back and relax; enjoy the good show man. though i hope some opposition can snatch seats away from PAP, i would rather PAP stay in power. why? all these years, the ruling party made singapore prosper, such high standards of living we enjoy now are the fruits of labour of the PAP. with PAP, our future will remain bright. our future descendents will live comfortably too. with so much at stake, i do hope that PAP will stay in power, and bring singapore to greater heights. HAIL PAP.

staying together. moving ahead

i love tuesdays because tuesdays are the shortest day of the week. can you imagine ending school at 1140am?? but that's provided there's no math makeup lecture in the afternoon. anyway, school was rather boring today. i was barely listening during physics lecture. and since it's a short day, it's definitely a reason for us to hit the streets, and head for town! we had quite a large crowd at the start, with me, edwyn, heng da, sihui, jing tat, anitha and yawen leaving school together.

a group of this size is definitely better than having only a friend or an extremely big group. we get to interact with one another better. that kinda reminded me of the trip to kap last week with a few of my fellow classmates, same few people actually. :) but the people im hanging around now are definitely nice people. FUN-loving too!

a long day out means we have to do something erm significant, like watching movies? however, the fact is that there are not many movies in april. GOOD movies in april are scarce. jing tat happily suggested, BOY EATS GIRL. okay, i knew right from the start it aint gonna turn out good, with ratings for the movie a mediocre 2 out of 5 stars. =s i'm really quite glad that we watched that, and realised in the end, we wasted 7 bucks, and 1h plus of our time; could have sat in coffee bean and drank another cup of mocha. ah. jing tat is now WANTED, because he made us waste our money. hahah. anyway, i know how he feels, cos i think i was part of the reason why some of us ended up watching the FOG. i seriously think the fog is better than boy eats girl, at least it has s o m e plot. i think i remember edwyn saying he gives half a star for the fog. boy eats girl has to be negative.

basically, the movie is crap. it started rather creepily, in that weird looking, dilapidated church. minutes later, the scene changed to the town, where the music played seemed to portray a bimbotic movie. the movie was horny at some parts, the director, undoubtedly, likes showing scenes of couples, with the girl giving oral sex to the guy =s no explicit scenes of course, just the guy moaning, and sorta, moving up and down. the lead turning into the zombie was weird, and the way the whole neighbourhood turned into zombie land was pure strange. UNadulterated rubbish. you know it's gonna turn out like this right from the start. i suppose if you could present me with a choice, i would rather use my 7 bucks to treat anitha to a cup of baaliibuu dream. =p

baaliibuu dream. i shall come to that later. meanwhile, sihui, jing tat and yawen left due to their respective committments. a pity they couldnt join us, the four of us. after much waste of time pondering, and hesitating, we headed for wheelock's coffee bean. the one inside. the one outside, was erm, out of point, cause alfresco, perhaps, was a little too warm for us. with 3 of them gone, it leaves me heng da, edwyn and anitha. and oh god. i've never laughed that much for a long long time. i hope i have kept you in suspense so far. baaliibuu dream. omg. i think me and edwyn heard anitha ordering baaliibuu dream, which is actually pronounced as malibu dream. damn, it was really hilarious. laughed till all of us almost rolled to the floor. edwyn's trademarked laughter was highly contagious. not to forget, heng da's intermitten laughters, induced the ultimate laughter in me. anitha couldnt help but laughed too :) but it wasn't totally due to the mispronunciation of the drink, couldnt really remember what they said.

lots of jokes came to light! darkness always prevail, close your eyes and you see anitha. anitha was the central of attention today. also, we came out with a mini cheer today, with 3 of us saying, ooooooh, ahhhhhhh, yeaaaaaa, and then finally the high pitched, trademarked, anitha's WAH LAOOOOOO. hahahahaha. heng da, edwyn and anitha are so friiggggggggggin funnnny. omg. we left for home at approximately 745? :)

i've learnt quite alot today. i realised recently, i've heard so much about things happening in the class, and outside class. life's really getting very exciting. amongst the four of us, i learnt stuffs which i never thought could happen before, and yet they have happened! also, it made us realise that class affairs should be dealt with great care and precision. certain people shouldnt implicate themselves into matters, just because they think should. but instead, it may lead to them being dealt with the final knock out punch to their head. class affairs should always remain as class affairs. it's no doubt that our class' a complicated one, but that's where we get the kick out of it! and also the excitement for the uncertainties in the future that make us so 'attached' to our class.

i think i should stop talking about such stuffs

nevertheless, today was a really fun day. the movie was bad, but as long as there's good company, bad things can still turn good - at the end of the day. and OH, monday's labour day and i have tuition! argh..

final note. it's a day well spent :)

my mum asked me a weird question after i had my dinner. she said she hasn't seen one of my friends, who used to visit my home. hahah, i was rather astounded by that question. =s

anyway, i wasted the entire day. didn't do any work at all. and my mum kept saying i'm gonna fail my A levels. this aint helping at all.

i wonder why it's called aristal. it sounds like nothing i have ever seen or heard before. anyway, i have to say that the dance performances were not bad, especially the dances by chinese dance. but well before the dance night, the 4 of us, edwyn sihui and heng da, met up with much calamity. we were really down on our luck. first, it's the retarded cab-ing experience. we were desperately hailing a cab in a bid to reach UCC on time, only to helplessly see countless taxis whiz pass us, the red "hired" LED word staring at us. fortunately, we still managed to make it on time with a ride on jiaying's mum car :) the most amazing thing was that we managed to squeeze, erm, 9 people in the car? jiaying was virtually sitting on erm, eh, i cant rmb who's lap. i was sandwiched between 2 people, my butt barely sitting on the seat. nevertheless, we reached UCC safely. we also realised that the distance of UCC from clementi mrt is rather large, to think we even contemplated walking there =s we'll look like a bunch of dogs walking. i think heng da said something like that. it was darn hilarious.

UCC was flooded with waves and waves of NJ people. many queues were snaking across the hall lobby, took quite a while to enter the concert hall. i have to say it's really not bad, the seats were quite comfortable. the only qualms i had was the large, bulky camera directly blocking my line of sight. AND TO THINK I PAID 15 BUCKS FOR THE SEAT. fortunately, i moved down a row, and things got better. i guess the cameraman was rather indecisive as he kept removing the camera and then placing the cam back to its tripod stand again. argh. irritating. edwyn was rather rude to mr camera man, but, the camera man was equally rude. he was making some strange finger signals, maybe he thought edwyn was deaf. but hahaha. such foul incidence do happen occasionally eh?

the dance performnace, as i have briefly commented above, was really not bad. the most synchronised and sleekest moves were by the chinese dance group. performances by the western dance was another one i was looking forward to. but hmmm, i will still say i prefer chinese dance. i hope no one from western dance sees this. hehe. dont beat me up. malay dance was rather, erm, boring. perhaps, it's just because i cant appreciate malay dance. the way they dance can be quite monotonous, so i took that time to talk to jing tat, who was sitting to my left. indian dance was more vibrant, as compared to malay dance. the songs were more attractive too.

after the performances, we decided to have supper at holland v. yea, i'm not very sure what happened la, but some of us took a particular long time to decide on going or not. eventually, all of us went. cept karwai, who had band early today. ate at crystal jade, had some noodles. though the price was a little higher than those of food centres, the noodles were considerably better tasting. so, no qualms man! =)

the stayover was supposedly to be more exciting, but heng da pangsehed. anitha fell sick, while edwyn couldnt make it due to his mum tight reins on him. poor edwyn, his mood was destroyed after his mum adamently refused his request to stayover. so in the end, that leaves me yawen and sihui. anyway, it was rather fun la. okay, fun as in not playing games, but talking about stuffs that are happening around us.

i've come to the realisation that people around me are complicated. so many things happened in a short span of time. hmmm. okay, maybe i shall blog about that some time later.

what was supposed to be a casual outing to kap, became a mini class outing. well, we had an outing yesterday to island creamery for some icecream with yawen, and her bf, sihui, and elaine. no prizes for guessing who decided on some sinful pleasures of icecream. icecream is rather fattening as you can see. hahah. anyway, it was kinda cool staying out till evening, relaxing, chatting. soothes your soul. but. that was yesterday! today was meant to be a followup, just that as i was about to meet yw and co at the extension, we(me and ed) coincidentally found heng da and alfred heading for kap too! so yea, it ended up as a small bunch of us, going to kap together.

anitha joined us a while later at kap. anyway, it was quite heartening to see the class, albeit a small group of us, going out together again.

with such outings, there'll definitely come the point where people start sharing their opinions of people in class, outside class. oh, and not to forget. that bottle of vodka, though only a 5% alcohol one, not the kind which gives you a burning sensation when you drown a shot down your throat. but alas! it's bright blue in colour! how pleasing to the eye. haha. so, this is the first time i tried some vodka, and a blueberry flavoured one to match. i have to say, it tasted not bad at all! the alcoholic taste blended well with the blueberry, giving it a rather, bitter sweet blueberry soda kinda taste. quite cool!

not surprisingly, jokes arose due to us drinking a couple of cups of the drink. we started spotting alfred having rashes on his neck, and we, edwyn especially, starting scratching our very necks. paranoia sank in. hahaha. in addition, yawen and elaine took a surprisingly long time in the washroom, leaving us to wonder if they have been knocked out by alcohol overdose. damn hilarious. fortunately, nothing happened. i guess, a tinge of alcohol had made us more lighthearted, and willing to share our feelings. i tell you, it was so enriching and entertaining, that we stayed at kap till 730pm. so relaxing, so soothing, totally unlike a usual thursday. perhaps, it's because we're all going for dance night tomorrow. all of us are feeling the heat, and excitement brewing.

i've learnt so much tonight. and it once again changed my opinions on some people. but like how the saying goes, let bygones be bygones. what's the point on harping on old grudges? yes, i'm biased. but i do have my point. valid points as a matter of fact. nevermind. it's a night to mourn over the past, a sentimental night as i have always said. ah. crap aside. tomorrow's a day worth waiting for. =)

the itch was unbearable. even at this moment, the itchiness continues. i wonder if it's because of the weather, has the wet weather made mosquitoes more hyperactive?! i've just been bitten by mosquitoes, probably at least 5 times on my feet and arms at the computer table. so you may say, YOU DESERVE IT. you OUGHT TO be bitten by mosquitoes for talking behind other people's back. okay, no pun intended. i really, was bitten by mosquitoes. fucking mosquitoes. but anyway, funny stuffs have happened in school. well, the fact is that certain issues have became the butt of all jokes. yes, it's childish. nevertheless, it beats having people around me heavy hearted over some stuffs that happened over the net. why? people have been casting doubts, while i have done nothing to resolve the problem, only to add salt to the wound, or add firewood to the fire. argh. whatever.

you say, it's time to stop. then again, it's like asking the mosquitoes to stop biting me. can you stop these bloodsucking monsters from sucking blood from under my very nose? no, i can't. they need blood to lay their eggs. they are pests alright; mother nature made it happened. some things just can't be changed per se. i believe it's a periodic kind of thing. mosquitoes do have their low period, don't they? perhaps, perhaps, this can happen to. remember the dog chasing its tail theory? do you expect the tail or the dog's neck to grow longer before it stops? then, someone said, when the dog's tired, it'll stop. BUT NO! the dog will continue chasing its tail again when its re-energised.

this is getting rather senseless. but i hope i made my point.

argh. i'm totally puzzled by a strange phenomenon! why is my sister becoming so preeeety?? i'm so jealous. if only i had gfs as pretty or as cute as her. oops. haha. i think i have been saying my sis has been acting cute many times, but i guess, she's cute, that's why she can act cute. okay, this is so senseless. BUT, the reason why i took notice today was because, she looked especially radiant today. coming home today and announcing to the whole family that she got third for oddessy of the mind! wow. i'm kinda surprised she could win. =p

enough of random comments, today went mugging at kap! i think it's my first time mugging there on a saturday. well, managed to complete something, so that makes it all worthwhile. however, there was this weilian fan club beside us. damn noisy i would say, especially initially, where there was this emo women who was screaming and crying on the phone. find it kinda interesting though. yes, it's disturbing, but i enjoyed such events that happen only once in a blue moon. okay, so we mugged till about 6 before heading home.

dinner was not bad, mum cooked chicken rice. and this time, the chicken rice does taste like chicken rice! haha. after dinner, decided to watch a movie to kill time. rummaged through the many dvds i have. and voila! i spotted "cheaper by a dozen 2"! haha. the movie was funny at some moments, and heart warming towards the end. it portrayed family love at well, not really at its best, but the way the family came together at the end, just makes it all worth it. a movie worth watching! if you have the time, that is.

i have to say, lots of hilarious things happened over the past few days. anyway, as the title implies, physics tuition is no longer at the claustrophobic classroom at coronation plaza, instead, it has moved to bukit timah shopping centre. and the most laughter-inducing thing about that is that, its signboard says "GG Investigation and Security". like ah? i'm speechless, and the only words i can mumble through my mouths are G-G, good game, gamegod, what ever. haha. GG-fied. okay. enough enough. oh, and something else. tuition was fucking funny. the air con was friggin cold, as a matter of fact, it was freezing. much colder than the coldest LTs in Nj. and so yea, gary chan told us that he complained to the management. only to get a reply from an indian security guard saying that, cold air sinks. -_- okay, get it? an indian security guard telling a physics tutor that cold air sinks, and that there's convection current. it DOESN'T make sense! damn hilarious la. anyway, i dont mean anything racist. it's just coincidental that the guard was an indian, and don't you come telling me that there's no such thing as coincidence, only illusions of coincidence.

school has been fun because i've been hearing lots of ridiculously funny stuffs. the calculator saga. omg, how spastic can it get?? "my young anakin, blah blah blah.... _ _ _ _ side" holy moly, it's like the funniest shit i've heard this week. also, 05s11 should be ranamed as a zoo, with ziyan being the zookeeper. the rest of the people, well, let your imagination run wild. then ziyan suggested the class should be called a farm instead.

well, back to the blogging arena. i've seen some conspiracy going on around. without any doubt, i find it kinda amusing. not that i'm involved, but it just brings laughter whenever i think about it. that guy's hmmm, i wont say he's brave, considering he hides under anonymity, but yea, he's got the guts. you rock.

oh lastly, i forgot to add that edwyn got suanned by gary, cos he realised that he doesnt really feel cold, only for his comment to backfire. time to work out man, edwyn. napfa coming up soon. :s

the first sign of extreme exhaustion is when u wake up feeling as if you have not slept at all.

anyway, had a short interact orientation camp in school. reached home this afternoon. i wont say that the orientation was boring, but i just felt that it fell short on something. perhaps because many people left during the orientation itself, so it's kinda sad to see your group mates leaving one by one. nevertheless, it was fun at times too. the games were exciting, but drained us of all our energy. i still find it a miracle that i was able to last till 3am+ last night, just by playing cards, and people around me chatting and crapping.

i believe one of the main aims of the orientation was to foster closer bonds between interactors. haha. okay, i know a couple more people now. i guess it's the duration, it's a tad too short. but considering the tiredness, if it was anymore longer, everyone would have died of exhaustion. oh, i think i forgot to mention xinlin was a gl too, as in same group as me. okay, my brain's faltering. not making much sense here. didn't really know anyone else in my group except kelly.

argh, okay. i think i should go catch up on more sleep soon. fortunately, tomorrow's a sunday. sometimes, you just hope that everyday's a sunday. so you wake up feeling all fresh and ready to roll, knowing that there's no school. you see, i dont look forward to school, cos im sooooooooooooo tired now.

i kinda expected it nonetheless. bad grades, but, not as bad as the grades i'm getting now. and i know there's a high chance of me having to drop a subject, even before the release of the results. so there you go, i get all the Fs, and also the ticket to join the exclusive club - The 3 subbers club. it goes without saying how badly i've done. triple Fs, and a D. with maths being my 'best' subject. some of you may instantly label people who have lots of Fs as failures, perhaps it's true. but sometimes, it's not because we did not study, rather, it's us not studying properly, resulting in us flopping exams. i dont wanna argue about how glamourous getting fails is, but just want to reilliterare that people who fail have their prides too. don't laugh at them as if it's a joke (erm, can laugh la, just don't overdo it), yea, initially it can be funny, but as time passes it can lead to an opposite effect. it's terrible, yes, very terrible.

i'm not THAT sad, just disappointed. having to drop subjects coupled with the especially lousy grades i'm getting. then again, it's just the first common test. there's CT2, prelims and of course, A levels. some can outshine the others in common test. but at the end of the day, it's still the A levels which determines your future. AAAA for ct vs FFFF for alevels? i'll prefer the former. getting Fs for alevels is rather impossible, but it's just to show the insignificance of common tests. not that i'm trying to say we should not study for cts, it's just that, those who had fared badly should not dwell on the poor grades, we should look ahead. SMELL success man. motivate ourselves, and let nature take its course. well of course, everything else is history.

oh, and anyway. i gotta tell my mum about my results later. it's quite scary. hahha. but afterall, we have to face reality. yes it's harsh! but that's life for you man.
