time flies. in 2 weeks time i'll be passing out from bmt already. it has been 7 weeks of hectic military lifestyle, filled with PTs, drills, technical handlings, etc etc. yes, i still think all these are useless though i did became tanner, but life has been miserable the moment i stepped into BMTC1.

i've to say that it's getting better now since most of the activities have been done. 2 major things left, 24km route march and graduation parade. route march scheduled on june 5th, and GP on 13th June, and then off i go. gone from this god-forsaken island.

lol. actually it isn't that bad. it's just that i want to get out of the terribly warm island, and the hassle of booking out and booking in (taking the shuttle bus and then the ferry). oh and no OCS for me, because i failed SOC, and i sorta just passed IPPT. i've a feeling i may be posted to sispec, but who knows, i may just end up in some shit unit. if that really happens, i'll make sure i down-pes with all the shit injuries i got from the training.

all these things aside, the new month will be here tomorrow! a day to be happy, a day to remember, and a day to wish for the best! fifth month and counting.....

:)

i'm back again after 10 days in tekong! 6/10 days were spent in tekong forest for field camp. call me weak or lousy or whatever, but i totally hate outfield. not showering for 5 days, pee-ing in the bushes, digging the hole to shit is no joke alright(okay, i didnt shit at all. i was too grossed out). plus it's pitch dark after 730pm, and we had to be 'tactical', which means torch lights aren't really allowed.

army is no shit. the commanders can tekan you like nothing. "down, down, down.." down till my muscles reach breaking point.

in outfield, we have to always keep our bodies low - which means either to prone or to kneel/squat. proning sucks, cos many a time, you come face to face with ants' nest or some never-seen-before creepy crawlies. ants are the worst seriously, when you're so close to them, you can even hear them moving about, rubbing their puny red shells against the dried leaves. they bite you in the legs and arms at night, and there's nothing you can do. i hate insects, so i never, in my 5.5days field camp, enjoyed myself at all. worst experience i had in my entire lifetime.

nevertheless, i managed to pull through this ordeal. if i'm not wrong, on the 4th day, i nearly fall out of camp due to an extremely bad rash on my arms. it may seemed stupid, but i actually wanted to complete field camp no matter how horrible it was due to some magical motivations. i'm glad i did. well, this is only the beginning of army life. sighh..

on a lighter note, i've received a letter from ntu saying i've been accepted into civil engineering! it's quite a surprise, considering my grades were really rock bottom. one of my bunkmates said that even with my grades i can even get a place in ntu, so why should he study in the first place. well, i've gotten used to such derogatory statements already, so yup, like what many people say, take things with a pinch of salt.

for now, i'm still waiting to see if nus accepts me in any of the courses. cos in my humble opinion, i'd prefer the courses i chose in nus. ntu engin.. well... i've really got to ponder over it.

and lastly, book out time is really meant for chilling out! i haven seen xiuyi for a long 10 days, i wonder how she's doing now. hahha. i'm sure she's doing fine and as strong as ever! =)
