sigh. what a bad day it was yesterday. was playing badminton with karwai at the gym after school yesterday. and i couldnt believe that i could injure myself playing with him. omg. in addition, it was the final play of the day, and i screwed myself up. i TWISTED MY SHOULDER. omg omg omg.

i woke up today and found myself indulging in some pure pain pleasure while swinging my arms about. it wasn't that bad yesterday though. i really hope it recovers fast. i wanna play on monday =(

sigh. and was actually supposed to play badminton with ziyan today, but have to last min pangseh. sorry dude. =s

today was a boring day. and definitely aint my day. the worst periods were GP which we had to write a full essay. i chose a topic on dependency on oil. anyway, i dint really pay much attention to what i wrote, knowing that i will fail it. i have been failing all my essays, no matter how many fanciful vocabulary i use, i'll still end up failing it. lol. so this time, i decided not to check my essay for errors after completion. not to forget, i took less than an hour to complete it. i'm like so pro, huh? argh.

then after gp, went to play badminton with jing tat, junyan, huishan and jiaying. i realised after playing that i made a huge mistake. shouldn't have signed up to play for singles. i was thrashed by jing tat. like a bird eating a worm(yes im the worm, not the bird). i was manipulated like a puppet, made me so depressed. playing against jiaying dint make me feel any better. she's much shorter than me as a matter of fact =s

played till about 520pm before me and jiaying decided to stop for the day. oh, the rest left earlier. leaving me in the the abyss of badminton players. damn. then had a nice chat with jiaying till about 6 before leaving for home.

what a day, what a day. and i haven touch a single piece of work today. so much for talking about gaining momentum.

i have to say, this is the longest time i spent at kap, inhaling the perpetual oily smell. mugging was not too bad, though i didn't really complete that much work, considering i spent like 6 hours there. oh, not to forget, me and edwyn left for tuition halfway. sihui is crazy, cause he mugs like a clock, never stopping. okay, a clock monster. nono, clock monster sihui. hahah. lame. and kelly's crazy too, cause she came so early. who goes to kap at 730am?!?! madness. plus she tried to extort free lunch treats from those who are late. i think i'm nice, that's why she dint ask me to give her a treat =p

anyway, there's another mugging session at kap tomorrow. bless me with infinite MacDonald's meals. arghhhhh.. this is so sick. sick. sick.

today was community service day, which also coincides with racial harmony day. so that really did explain why several njcians dressed up in ethnic costumes today. our class wasn't left out of the fun too, with kelly, clarice and peiying dressing as malays and chinese respectively. peiying was omg-ly sexy, her cheongsum was a little too tight for comfort i guess =s anyway, our class hosted a few nursery and k1 kids. and they all looked really cute, their height and childishness really do add up to their cuteness! it was erm, rather fun la. but by the end of the day, i was depleted of much of my energy.

then, the few of us decided to go have lunch at town to satisfy our desires of our stomach. ended up at marina square after that helluva ride on 171. the bus journey was so jerky and rocky i nearly puked. anyway, after much procrastination and lack of decisiveness, we made our way to kenny rogers for a meal. much to our delight, where the lunch set cost a mere 8.90. 3 side dishes and a main course! wow. dirt cheap, so we thought.. the meals came with a surprisingly twist. i had expected much from the lunch meal, from the vivid description of the previous meal sihui had at KJ. woot. the chicken fillet i ordered was a pathetic slab of meat that's smaller than my left hand. it looked so small, i swear it'll make a dwarf blush after eating it. DAMN.

seriously, the meal was absolutely not value for money. my side dishes failed to make the money worthed. a potato salad, mashed potato and baked rice only made me real sick of my food. instead of complementing my main course, it only made eating a torture- to my utter dismay. everyone was complaining of their food, some left nothing on their plates (like me), while others totally gave up eating. lol. real funny. this was one meal i couldnt forget, not for good reasons definitely.

kelly left as she needs to rest. so that leaves the 7 of us stranded at town. the rest had actually wanted to catch "thank you for smoking". but to our disappointment, the show wasnt showed at both GV and Eng Wah. not to forget the miles and miles we walked while walking from cinema to cinema. our little legs nearly couldn't take it anymore. so, we decided to chill out at coffee bean, suntec city. and how else do we spend our time there? there's always the trusty game, Truth or Dare.

lol. i shant blog about the details here as i'm lazy. i'm sure the ever-hardworking sihui will blog about it! hahaha. anyway, it was really interesting, and i was showered with shocking revelations and news. edwyn and sihui definitely were in the limelight. sihui's was particularly shocking, and that made my day! =) jialing was suanned many many times, with jing tat bashfully hidden behind. his coy smile and gayness never fails to bring a smile to everyone faces. LOL.

oh and lastly. i'm kinda disappointed over a couple of comments. not that im furious over those comments or whatsoever, i'm just pure disappointed. am i really that bad? that evil a person? okay, yes, i'm dumb and stupid. but im sure that statement, cannot be truly justified.

ah, the vicissitudes of life

i'm kinda surprised that i reached home so early today, 130pm to be exact. planned to mug in school initially, but couldnt find anyone to study with so decided to head home- which means to waste some time away! lol.

oh, and i finally got back my gp results. the results weren't good at all. bad enough for me to get myself a free ticket to have gp remedial every wednesday. so much for pinning some hopes on gp eh?

okay, time for a good nap!

everyone's going crazy. EVERY single one of them. jing tat, for example. the first thing he said upon reaching KAP is, "GO PLAY POOL". and we had barely started mugging. that's the first, and also the epitome of everyone's craziness.

sihui became crazy towards the end too. he made so much noise, i couldnt concentrate on my work anymore. he rattled on like a machine gun, and together with the din at KAP, i swear the decibels reached higher than a 100. (fyi, >100db is as loud as a construction site).

not to forget, scandals appearing from all sides, swarming the class like flies. nevertheless, i believe jing tat has the upper hand, because he's from TCHS. while edwyn on the other hand, comes from my bro's school. which i must say, is a little screwed up. tchs, though having its name changed to hci, will forever remain in our hearts.

maybe we should all listen to the song Crazy by simple plan. oops, simple plan. LOL

A fish has died tonight.

today marks the day where one my fish, a koi, died from unknown reasons. my mum sounded the alarm by coming upstairs and told me the bad news. i was astounded, sat in my chair and looked up into the ceiling. it was the worst night of my life, really. it died so bad, it looked so ugly even when it had already lost its soul. it lay limped, red spots visible on its scales. and a smell reeked from it.

sihui told me to give it a good burial. yep. my maid certainly did. she scooped it out from the water, place it softly with a deft touch into a NTUC fairprice plastic bag. she then swiftly transferred the plastic bag into a red pail, destined for the blue truck the very next morning.

tonight, everyone shall mourn for the lost of the very one fish that perished in my fish tank. sadly, it died a horrible death.

pardon me for the exaggeration. but lol. one of my 6 fishes, really died.

had a movie outing yesterday, which surprisingly, was on a thursday. it's kinda rare nowadays to be able to hit town on thursday. the outing was supposedly planned on friday, but due to unforeseen circumstances, thursday became the more suitable day for the movie. in addition, it's the opening day of the movie, pirates of the caribbean, dead man's chest! with all the hype over this particular trilogy, i was intrigued to watch it too. the first instalment was fantastic, pure entertainment. however, i should warn those who have yet to watch it, to not have such high expectations of this sequel.

well, out of 5, i rate it a 3. i find the storyline rather bland, though the lame jokes in between attempted to salvage the plot. however, certain jokes really did fall flat. not that i didn't like the movie, but i prefer something more exhilarating and exciting. the movie got better as time passes, and finally ending off with a cliffhanger. okay, that made me want to catch the final sequel next year! for those who likes pirates of the caribbean, this movie is a definite must-watch, as it guides you to the last part of the trilogy. it's worth the eight bucks, but certainly not the best movie i have caught this year =s oh and something to add, the special effects are cool! lol.

today was a slack day. really slack. first, we had PE by ourselves. the pe teachers have all gone down to macritchie to support the canoeists, so that left us to play our own games! kicked a rather good game of soccer! and a few rounds of badminton. we were so engrossed in our games that we decided to pon physics lecture. it was a sweating good time we had in the gym! =)

gp today was cancelled too because mr ducro suddenly fell sick and had to go home. almost 3/4 of the class left. because i had no where to go, i stayed in class. some of my classmates decided to play some number guessing game, which i had never played before. and yea, no prizes of guessing who kept losing. sian. in the end, both my arms had to suffer the forfeit- to be drawn on. i looked like a ganster with tattoos all over at the end.. but it was good fun! it's also the first time i get to interact with my gp mates, they're really fun people!

that sums up my friday.

the world cup has finally come to an end, though with me nearly banging my head against the wall. the entire match was so dramatic, i think it could draw the big bucks if shown on the silver screen. the game started really quickly, and sent adrenalin pumping through my body when 2 goals scored in the early 20 minutes. woah.

sadly, france couldn't get their breakthrough, much to my anticipation. italy's defence was just wickedly tight, water tight to be exact. thierry henry's runs were often promptly cleared by italia's defenders easily, not to forget cannovaro's superb defending skills, almost god-like, i would say. lol. the match sadly, went into extra time. by that time, i was already yawning rather badly, not because the match was boring, but because i was dead beat. 3hours of sleep a day is a killer, i really can't survive with that. anyway, the game came into a surprising twist when zinedine zidane made the most ridiculous attack on Materrazi. seriously, i have no idea what he was doing. a headbutt aimed squarely at his chest, so powerful it sent him flying towards the ground. a definite red card. i have to say, one reason i support les bleus was due to their prolific talisman zizou. but what he did last night was totally unforgivable. for a moment, i thought only wayne rooney will come out with something like that. juvenile, violent conduct by a 34-year old, highly experienced mid-fielder. omg. i was speechless.

zidane left his team in tatters. not only did he threw his captain's armband away, leaving his team in utter discord, he left the team as one of the better penalty kick takers- recall david trezeguet's disastrous penalty kick which bounced off the cross bar. a heart break. zidane, he now does not deserve to leave the field a hero, instead, he left football as a villain, a foolish one as a matter of fact. in contrast, other players destined to hang their boots - oliver kahn, luis figo, pauleta etc etc.. do deserve our high praises.

poor france.

nevermind, i guess football's like that.

champions of the world, ITALY.

the exhaustion is just starting to grip me. caught the third place playoff last night, and i would say that it's worth the time. though the first half was filled with clean passes, and lots of advantages to germany, there were no goals. however, we, as audience, were finally rewarded with not one, not two, three but four goals! a goal feast, as what the newspaper had predicted. 3 totally wicked balls, all set up by Schweinsteiger, a pity he missed out on a hattrick due to an own goal by petit =s german domination in front of the six yard box! well, portugal deserved a consolation goal by its own for what they have done, nuno gomez with a sweet diving header at the 88th min to send the match 3-1! woah. what a game, what a game =)

so tonight's the game, where the coveted world cup is up for grabs. hopefully, les bleus will manage to clinch it. not that i don't fancy the azzurris, maybe it's just that i prefer thierry henry's slick moves and astonishing pace, plus zizou's final world cup match, i guess, france deserves to win it tonight. all odds are against france, but i believe they can win!

by hook or by crook, i'll be awake at 2am tonight.

lessons tomorrow are screwed, but who cares. it's once every four years..

so, it's the band concert everyone's talking about, okay maybe not really. but hey, it's at the esplanade! because of that, i decided to dress up a little and not so shabbily- the typical NJ image (teeshirt and jeans kinda look). yea it sucks. while looking through my wardrobe, i suddenly had a realisation that i had absolutely nothing nice to wear, and had to borrow a black shirt from my dad. and i have to admit it's a smart looking black shirt! my mum has really good taste i must say, cos if im not wrong, my mum bought that shirt for my dad. nevermind, i shall try to get myself one if i have the chance to =s

met my fellow classmates at city hall mrt station. and wow, everyone dressed up too! the guys with shirts and jeans, while the girls wore pretty clothes too. haha. it's kinda rare to see them all dressed up. even jing tat, who told me he's wearing teeshirt and slippers came in a shirt and jeans. however, i was told that 4 other guys have decided to have their own dinner instead. hmmmmm, what's wrong with joining us? i wonder. had a nice dinner at a japanese restaurant at marina square, the food portions were just right. and finally, we ended off with a splendid dessert which i happily shared with jing tat. anitha shared hers with phylicia, and my my, theirs were humongous! almost twice our icecream's size. that really made me disappointed. 7 bucks for a puny icecream simply doesn't seemed to be worth the money. but to my surprise, the icecream tasted really good, and to top it off, the lukewarm extremely-sweet-sweetpotato was absolutely heavenly. well, to think of it now, 7 bucks is worth the money for such an awesome dessert! =)

meanwhile, edwyn kept showing his cleavage; which i found kinda obscene..

next, the concert! i have to say i'm astounded by the quality of the band, considering i've been listening to the poor renditions of the school song every morning during assembly. they can actually play well! and, yea, it's really good, even better than hwa chong's band concert which i went with ziyan a couple of months back. it was entertaining, yet at the same time soothing with its nicely balanced repertoire. if only they played lotr's themes, which i so fondly liked. ahhh. hmmm, why do people sleep or find the concert boring? especially with the majestic concert hall where the band is playing! so nice!

went around looking for karwai and clarice after the concert. hahah, karwai looks quite good looking in his blazer. took a couple of pictures with him and friends. and clarice, hahaha, she's so short. anyway, congratulations to them for such a good concert.

went supper with my classmates after that. but before that, we were wandering about esplanade and bumped into a group of rowdy _ _ _ _ _ s (fill in the blanks, it's a race) as a matter of fact, i hate that race. they are lazy and dumb, and they always end up being public nuisance. and today, they harrassed the class girls which was totally ridiculous and absurd. under broad moonlight?! wtf. just because they are that-race, doesnt give them the right to go around touching girls. okay, talk is cheap. i admit we should have intervened, but i was kinda stunned by what they did. should have told them to fuck off or something like that. sigh. fucking that-race. go back to your kampong and play with marbles..

well, that sums up the day. oh and not to forget the cab back home. i'm now so broke, i swear i have to stay at home all day tomorrow.

3place playoff later, go DEUTSCHLAND!

sighhhhhh..

it was so bad i was stunned for a long time. my results were utterly pathetic, to the extent of it being laughable. maybe i can console myself by saying i'm not the worst, but is that it? by making yourself feel better just because i aint the last in class? what rubbish. i couldn't believe that i didn't even manage a D for my maths, only having to satisfy with an E. physics was worse, O8, just a couple of marks more and i would have official failed it. chemistry was the worst, straight F, no qualms, no questions asked.

EOF. OH MY GOD.

okay, comparable to my miserly DFFF during CT1.

i know it's time to pull up my socks. but the fact is that, i've already tried. it's not like i never study for my common tests. i did. maybe not hard enough, maybe it's because i never attempted a single TYS question. questions i ask myself to why i flunk my common tests again and again. however, these questions can never justify my utter lack of ability to score for exams and tests alike. they merely reflect on my level of intelligence, and also my laziness. my refusal to pick up my books proper is the bane of my results. argh.

i feel sad for my friends who had done badly this time round, because i know perfectly how they feel. but then again, it's useless to whine about results because they are simply a reflection of our pasts. so it's really time to pick ourselves up, and work harder for prelims.

with that, i shall erm, promise to work harder. FOR BETTER RESULTS! =)

oh anyway, i hope France, the les bleus, wins the world cup, and Germany to clinch third place. Germany really does deserve to be in the finals, too bad they fell in the last hurdle =s football's like that i guess. it's really unpredictable, and that's what makes it ever so exciting.

ahhh...

some of you may not believe it, but it's true that our class organised another outing to sentosa! and i cant believe i went again. well, i have to say it wasn't as fun as the previous outing, due to the fact that vball today wasn't really exciting. but fortunately, it wasn't that bad la. at least it's better than staying at home, and playing computer game till i get a throbbing headache.

the turnout was okay, at least, it's erm 1/7 of the class? that's like a huge achievement already, considering not many people are into hanging out at the beach. the beach at sentosa isn't that great anyway, the sand's kinda coarse, and the scorching hot sun threatens to roast our very skin. wicked, really. today's sun baked many of us, our faces turning a nice shade of pink (especially jing tat). fortunately for me, i learnt my lesson from the previous outing, and hence brought a bottle of sunblock lotion. it's always better to rely on myself than to hope that someone else will bring instead. oh, it's a sunblock with spf80, more than sufficient to last thru a couple of hours of sunburning. not only that, it's waterproof for 4hrs! okay, for that was what the label says =s

it's quite interesting that everyone suggested jumping into the cold sea the moment we arrived at palawan beach. and by that time, only me, jing tat, yawen and jiaying were present. so after much hesitation, i decided to join them, but certainly not before i protected my skin with sunblock. it's an irony that jing tat applied sunblock too, but ended up with skin tone that of a lobster. poor jing tat, his skin aint born to breathe under the sun. lol. anyways, the sea was refreshing cold, yet at the same time, slimy at the seabed. there you go, we, like idiots, trying to find out why the seabed was slimy. we ended up with seaweeds being the culprit. and how right we were! =) and erm, how can we forget our trusty vball that jing tat had brought? i got seasick after a while due to the mild choppy waters. soon enough, the rest arrived, sihui edwyn and clarice. but poor clarice, she should have joined us in the water. it was helluva fun time we had in the water. hahaha. xiuyi came much later in the afternoon, and missed the blazing hot sun, thus explaining the lack of sunburns on her skin. lucky you.. jing tat must be jealous.

we had a really poor game of vball today, everything just went wrong. however, edwyn saves the day by serving really well, capitalising on our opponents' poor technical skills; losing only one game out of the many we played with strangers. ahh, what an achievement.. and so, as a finale, we jumped into the sea once again to cool down. this time, the sea wasn't as choppy, and the seaweeds have all been washed ashore. so that leaves the sea cleaner than before, though still with its distinctive dirty green colour. looks like we have an affinity for water. though im kinda hydrophobic =s

had dinner at breeks where i ordered a plate of beef bolognese. totally pathetic the serving. my stomach was still growling, so i got myself some sushi from cold storage with tat. then after, we had a couple of games of pool at the erm, dont know what building (at dhoby ghaut) before finally heading for home.

ah, what a tiring day. but like what all the others have said, it's the last day of freedom. and we did, enjoy ourselves for perhaps, the last time. hopefully not =s

cant wait for my ct results. gonna be real exciting. hahah. brazilian tragedy, more like my fav eng losing to portugal in penalties. really saddening the latter was. perhaps that's a blessing in disguise? i'm not a fan of brazil, so brazil losing doesn't really affect me. eh heh! we shall see tomorrow =)

Monday, July 03, 2006

i had such dismay in my eyes, the winning ticket in our hands no longer seemed important anymore. well, about the winning ticket. it was just a sudden decision to have a small, yet perfectly legal bet when we passed by a singapore pools outlet, at erm, i have no idea where that place was. after much panicking, and with the "more experienced" aunties and uncles around us (i'm sure they'd be saying how foolish and stupid we are), we decided to bet on a draw for the england match. well, it was certainly a wise move. i had previously predicted a draw, though with the help of TODAY newspaper, which also provided a goaless draw at full time as a speculation. we buy that. so there you go, THE WINNING TICKET. 15 bucks into our little pockets.

but, i have to say, the fact that england is out of the world cup made the ticket look a tad useless. did you see the dispair on John Terry's face? the tears, the sorrow. omg. damn sad. upon missing the penalty kick by frank lampard, he immediately clutched his face. okay, i admit i guessed he'll miss that shot; he blasted all other shots in the world cup into oblivion anyway. so yea. sad to say, england's out.

brazil's out too. beautiful game? joga bonito? a load of bullshit i would say.

but anyway, i've finally got myself a new pair of jeans! after such a long time wearing the same pair of giordano blues. this new pair is much cooler =)
